As the sun began to go down, Ken began to get tried and wanted to sleep. Kaldun was talking with some other soldiers and wasn’t tired. So Ken found a open place on the deck of the ship and then laid on the ground. Soon he fell asleep. Ken began to dream or replay the memories of how this all started.
It was subtle, no one expected it at least the Humans didn’t. When the Elves began to attack all the humans in Marelock it caused a shock around the world. Some races agreed with their actions, but others didn’t agree and began to give aid to Humans. Though the races that gave aid are not as large as Elves populations and were easily stopped and no longer aid is given.
When the genocide had begun, Ken wasn’t even born yet. He was born five years later to a world of death and despair. His family was never killed but they were forced into hiding so they wouldn’t be killed. The whole genocide began because Elves believe Humans are a “lesser race” because Humans came off of Elves. Though it has been seen that Elves also fear Humans and fear that they will somehow one day over run Elves.
Ken was separated from his family and so he wondered Marelock in search of them. Until he joined the Marelock Military and then he began to train to use daggers because he liked their light weight and being able to attack very fast. During this time he traveled to many bases over the world and meet many people including Ivon and got too rank Lord which is a high military rank. He never was able to get attached to any place he stayed and so he never truly felt sad when a village of Humans are attacked.
Then during a expedition deep into Tenoa, a material was found that could suck in magic if magic is shot at the material. During the expedition though, the people were killed by Elf soldiers and they tried to hide the mine. So they sent Ken in with other soldiers to take back the mine. The results, were everyone died but Ken and he was only able to scavenge enough of the material to make two daggers. After he returned to Enrin were it was the only safe place left for Humans that they could find enough time to forge the daggers.
Once the daggers were forged, he headed to Majesta and then to current time. Days passed on the boat heading to Marelock. No Elf or Virkins boats appeared and so they were able to rest. Ken was awoke to the captain telling them that Marelock is near but as Ken and all the soldiers looked a sudden despair went over them as they saw smoke rising into the air and fire all across the land.
